Welcome to the Welsh Automotive Forum Industry summit event website "Driving Towards a Greener Wales"
On Wednesday 17th March 2010, we will be holding an industry summit in Cardiff, tackling the issues and embracing the opportunities available with the increasing 'low carbon' emphasis for the automotive industry.
This event is free of charge to all delegates who wish to attend.
The speakers will address the future of the automotive industry in the UK & Europe, and the afternoon session offers companies attending the opportunity to take part in one-to-one meetings to discuss new business opportunities.
The event is part of the Wales Green Automotive Agenda, aiming to bring together individuals and companies in Wales with like-minded counterparts in the UK and Europe to create a low carbon vehicle industry to meet the challenges of sustainable mobility.
There will be exhibitions and demonstrations of low carbon vehicle technologies for delegates to look over and the event will be chaired by Welsh Automotive Forum chairman Prof Garel Rhys CBE. The event will be addressed by Carwyn Jones AM, First Minister of Wales, SMMT chief executive, Paul Everitt, and the Chief Executive Officer of CLEPA (European Association of Automotive Suppliers), Lars Holmqvist.
The afternoon session will offer delegates the opportunity to meet with each other in a series of pre-arranged meetings. These will allow you to explore potential collaborations and develop business opportunities.
